Make it stick
Successful change management is an ongoing process and will need to be maintained after implementation of shared services is complete. It is not possible to anticipate every outcome and consequence that will be associated with the transition to shared services. Where shared services are modelled on shared personnel, assets or facilities it is important to maintain strong communication with the partner organisation to ensure both organisations’ expectations of the arrangement are being met. Similarly when co-locating there is an ongoing need to manage the cultural change that is associated with a relocation.
