Engage for action

With the organisation engaged with the overarching principles for change, it is now important to take an inclusive approach to enacting change. For larger NFPs this will involve engaging senior management and influential members of the organisation to take ownership of the key activities of transitioning to shared services. For smaller NFPs this may involve up-skilling junior members of the organisation to take part in the implementation and set up of the transition. These roles and accountabilities are usefully framed as opportunities to develop new skills. Delegating accountabilities to achieve key milestones will create a sense of ownership of the transition.
